Lost and Found Sound: Listening to the Northern Lights

I was looking for some Conet Project stuff yesterday, when I stumbled on this. I wish it had a bit more uninterrupted sound, but what is there is very nice. It oddly reminds me a bit of Lee Patterson’s - Egg Fry #2. Radio phenomena recordist Steeve McGreevy takes us on a sonic tour of the Aurora Borealis. There are some great moments of almost choral wheezing, and some really amazing bits of crispy static.
Anyway, here’s a link to the audio, which is RealMedia unfortunately. Don’t let that deter you though, VLC can handle it just fine.
